"We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say, 'It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.' Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes."

The people of Pittsburgh know pollution can kill our planet, just like it almost killed our city. The people of Pittsburgh also know that steel and coal are our past, not our future. The Paris Climate Accord is the key to moving our planet in the right direction. Since the United States is no longer part of the Paris Climate Accord, it is up to its citizens to pick up the slack. We created the Pittsburgh Climate Accord hoping that it will help with this effort.
